What is Social2Search?
Social2Search is a social search engine that gives you access to the knowledge of your friends. You can find results from your friends by searching directly at http://technologieyvonlheureux.com or by installing the social search extension for your browser. When you search, you get a personalized social layer of your friends' comments, likes and recommendations
The browser extension lets you bring social search with you everywhere you browse the web. Search in places like Google, Bing, Yahoo!, Amazon, Yelp, Trip Advisor, YouTube and Ebay, and get recommendations from your friends without having to change your search behavior.
Does Social2Search share my searches with my friends or other third parties?
Does Social2Search share what I post on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, or LinkedIn with anyone?
No, Social2Search does not share what you post on social platforms. It only lets you find content from friends who have given you access to this content.
Does Social2Search store user information?
No, Social2Search does not store any user password information from any social networking site.
Is Social2Search private?
Yes! Social2Search never shares your browsing history or search history.
I didn't Install Social2Search, yet it is on my computer. How do I get it off?
First, we are sorry for any confusion about how Social2Search got installed on your computer.
Our product is not allowed to be installed unless you have given consent to do so. Social2Search is never secretly added or forced upon the user, however, we have received some complaints when users were unaware of clicking the consent button. We have created easy steps to help you with the removal of the Social2Search browser plug-in. Social2Search is sometimes bundled with other downloadable software.
Oftentimes, if you download the latest version of a browser, a screensaver, or a game, Social2Search may be offered as part of the app to download. In every case, you have the opportunity to opt-out of the download. Once again, we apologize if you have unintentionally consented to downloading our social search technology. We hope you may reconsider giving it a test drive at another time.

What accounts can I use to log in to Social2Search?
Log in to Social2Search with your Facebook or Twitter accounts. Once you've logged in, you can add Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Google+ as friend sources.
How do I use my Social2Search search results?
When you do a search in Google, Bing, Yahoo!, Amazon, Yelp, Trip Advisor, YouTube or Ebay, you'll find your most relevant Social2Search result at the top of your search results. You'll also see information about who shared the item, any comments made about it and other friends that also shared that piece of content.
Above your top Social2Search result, you'll find a breakdown of friends who have shared the most content related to your search. If you've saved or shared any results that are related to your search term, you'll be listed first, so it's easy to find your content again.
Why don't I have any search results?
If you just signed up, be patient! Social2Search needs some time to finish indexing all of your content, so you may not be getting complete results at first. You also may not always have Social2Search results for your search term. To increase your chances of finding Social2Search search results, try using a more general search term, or try adding more sources for Social2Search to index. Social2Search may suggest Twitter users to follow to find additional social search results.
Why don't I see Social2Search Social Search Results in Amazon and eBay?
Social2Search Social Search results only show in the United States at the moment. We're hoping to expand to other countries in the future. Thank you for your patience!
Which sources can I add?
You can add your Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and/or your LinkedIn account.
How do I remove a source?
While logged in at http://technologieyvonlheureux.com, click on Sources on the top right corner next to your name. Click on the name of the source you wish to remove in the friends area.
How do I import links from Twitter?
While logged in at http://technologieyvonlheureux.com, click on Sources on the top right corner next to your name. Click the Twitter icon. You will be prompted to accept permissions to access your Twitter account. Once you've accepted permissions, you will return to your Social2Search dashboard with your Twitter contacts loaded.
How do I import links from Facebook?
While logged in at http://technologieyvonlheureux.com, click on Sources on the top right corner next to your name. Click the Facebook icon. You will be prompted to accept permissions to access your Facebook account. Once you've accepted permissions, you will return to your Social2Search dashboard with your Facebook contacts loaded.
How do I import links from Google+?
While logged in at http://technologieyvonlheureux.com, click on Sources on the top right corner next to your name. Click the Google Plus icon. You will be prompted to enter your Gmail address and password. After you click Add Google+, you will return to your Social2Search dashboard with your Google Plus contacts loaded.
Does Social2Search support Google's 2-step verification?
We do not currently support Google's 2-step verification. To verify that you are using Google's 2-step verification visit https://www.google.com/settings/security
How do I import links from LinkedIn?
While logged in at http://technologieyvonlheureux.com, click on Sources on the top right corner next to your name. Click the LinkedIn icon. You will be prompted to enter your LinkedIn username and password. After you click Ok, I'll Allow It, you will return to your Social2Search dashboard with your LinkedIn contacts loaded.
How do I access my settings?
Click on your name at the top right corner of your Social2Search account. Then click on Settings in the drop-down menu. From there, you can configure where you want Social2Search results to show in the Search Engine Options, as well as if you want to support us by having ads displayed.
What are Social2Search ads?
Social2Search advertisements are shown to help us build and improve the Social2Search social search engine. By agreeing to display ads, you're supporting our efforts. At any time, you can remove advertising by visiting your Account Settings or by clicking on this link.
Where do Social2Search social search results appear?
Results from your friends are shown to you when you search at http://technologieyvonlheureux.com
If you are using the browser extension, Social2Search social results and ads are shown on pages you've selected in your Account Settings. How do I install Social2Search for the first time?
Simply click the install Social2Search for free button and follow the instructions in your browser. After your browser restarts, you will be prompted to connect with Facebook or Twitter. After you've connected, you will have created your Social2Search account. When you search, you will find results from your friends.
How do I re-install Social2Search?
If you've uninstalled Social2Search, you can re-install from the download tab below your Social2Search dashboard. You can also re-install from the home page by simply clicking the "install Social2Search for free" button.

Why should I keep Social2Search on my computer?
Social2Search is a non-invasive approach to accessing your friends in Facebook, Twitter and Google+ when you search on Google, Bing or Yahoo!.
How do I uninstall Social2Search?
Go to our How to Uninstall Social2Search page for a quick tutorial video on how to remove Social2Search from your computer.
If you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, the easiest way is to download the Windows uninstaller and follow the steps to remove Social2Search.
This uninstaller removes the entire Social2Search app.
Cookies containing PII (Personally Identifiable Information) may remain after the uninstall process. The remaining Social2Search cookies can be removed following your web browser help file directions.
The only exception is the Stand-alone Chrome extension when installed from the Chrome Web Store, which is not uninstalled through this uninstaller.
To remove the Stand-alone Chrome Web Store extension, you can do so by following the below instructions for uninstalling via the chrome browser itself.
In Windows, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs. Select Social2Search and then click Change/Remove.
